The Magic of I Do Faerie #2

Free read ¶ E-book, or Kindle E-pub ´ Tammy Falkner

Lding out Finn caved pretty easily it was the woman In the beginning of the book for example Claire would repeatedly say that she didn t love Finn to his faceOverall THE MAGIC OF I DO wasn t as good as I d hoped it would be Since I ve read some of Falkner s work as part of the Lydia Dare combo as well as having read the first Faerie book A LADY AND HER MAGIC and really liked what I ve read so far I was hoping for a bit better It felt like THE MAGIC OF I DO was put together hurriedly and while it mostly works together it is a bit of a smorgasboard of plotlines This doesn t mean that it was a bad book but it isn t as good as some of Falkner s other writingSince the beginning of THE MAGIC OF I DO overlaps a bit with the first Faerie book A LADY AND HER MAGIC those readers who have read the latter will be happy to learn that Sophia and Ashley do appear in this book We ve also got the always charming Ronald the garden gnome and Claire and Sophia s parents to liven things p as well Add in a dash of faerie dust and you ve got a nice cast of characters and enough magic to breeze through the book withSexual content Several sex scenes Posted on What I m ReadingI don t know how many of you know of my thoughts on faeries Well if you don t I still think they are mischievous bunch and I don t think my opinion is going to change anytime soon In the meantime I have finished next installment of Tammy Falkner s Faerie books which happens to be The Magic of I Do In this story we get know Claire Thorne a little better When you first meet Claire in A Lady and Her Magic you actually get the impression that she s not really an impulsive type Let me just say that would be a misconception Actually she is Programming in Objective C uite impulsive at times andsually at the wrong time Hence the reason she ends p with Lord Phineas Tremble Finn Finn is your typical second son However when he s with Claire it seems like magic between themOh dear mischief between these two abound in abundance I mean second sons are always finding themselves in a bit of a jam here and there and faeries tend to have trouble follow them So Claire and Finn find themselves in precarious situations in the book However they seem to manage when they work together Overall I found The Magic of I Do charming and enchanting like A Lady and Her Magic I do adore Claire but I m not going to lie she s a bit standoffish in beginning I think a lot of it has to do with her need to follow the Unpardonable Errors However she slowly melts away that icy exterior and I really start to like her Finn well I have a soft spot for second sons but he s actually not really that bad of a rake once you get to know him He s actually kind of endearing So if you are looking for a little magic I would suggest checking out The Magic of I Do Who knows you might find yourself in of a little magicCopy provided by Sourcebooks via NetGalley I loved this book couldn t put it down The Duke of Robinsworth asked his brother Lord Phineas Finn to look after Clair Thorn his sister in law while he and his wife Sophie visit the land of fae After spending so much time together Finn and Claire start developing deep feelings for each other When Clair s life is in danger Finn will do anything to keep her safe especially now that she is carrying something precious I wont bore you with another recap of the book but I will tell you that even if this is the second in a series it is a great stand alone book The play between the characters is charming and delightful to read I couldn t put it down once I started "And Read It In One DayYou Wont "read it in one dayYou wont disappointed in this paranormal romance I cant wait to find the first in the series and then the next should prove to be just as good Brilliant I absolutely adored The Magic of I Do It was a lovely romance mixed with faerie fantasy a perfect combinationI love books that are combinations of historical and paranormal romance So I had high expectations for this book And it went above and beyond what I hoped for It was wonderfulClaire was a great heroine She was very strong and refused to let anyone rule her My one issue with her was that she was very set in her ways very black and white about things It frustrated me a few times But it wasn t a huge problem I still really liked her Once she got over her issues she was brilliant Strong clever and willing to sacrifice anything to help those she loved I really liked her characterFinn was amazing He was perfection and I adored him from page one He was so sweet and strong and determined to do anything to protect his loved ones And it didn t hurt that he was so attractive He was the perfect hero and I could go on and on that he was so attractive He was the perfect hero and I could go on and on how amazing he was but I ll move on before I bore youI loved the romance between Claire and Finn They were a lovely couple I thought it was so sweet that Finn knew from the beginning that he loved Claire and stayed true to her immediately after they met They were so sweet together And
THERE WAS SOME SERIOUS SPICE WITH
was some serious spice with right from their first meeting And we get a healthy dose of it throughout the book I liked how the magical components of the book were woven in The faerie world was seamlessly added to the Victorian world and it added a lovely touch of magicThe plot was fast paced and I was hooked right away I was riveted throughout the entire book And the ending was so lovely A sweet romantic ending that left me smilingThe Magic of I Do was a brilliant romance All romance lovers should definitely give it a readThanks to Netgalley. His room through a magical portal Finn can't believe how completely npredictable she is Even before the two stumble into a dangerous intrigue that threatens both their worlds Finn discovers that his hitherto carefree life is about to go The Water Of Life up in smoke Praise for A Lady and Her Magic A dash of Jane Austen and a sprinkle of faery dust make. Originally published at The Rookie Romance BlogI love finding historical romances with paranormal aspects it s my favourite combination So naturally I was drawn to the blurb for this book faeries and a human Lord perfect Luckily it did turn out to be a great combination in The Magic of I Do Claire Thorne is left in the human realm with her sister s brother in law Lord Phineas Tremble when her sister goes to the faerie realm with her new husband They have a rather passionate encounter to say the least before Claire returns to the faerie realm whilst Finn is sleepingClaire has some issues with her parents and is desperate to escape them for a while and sheses a portal in a painting to leave the faerie realmand stumbles straight into Finn s bed chamber Sparks instantly flare between them againWhen Finn s ex mistress comes to him for help Finn sets to work trying to catch a killer Claire is a mission faerie and is determined to help Finn catch him and this leads to plenty of mayhem and intrigueClaire was a really fun character she s stubborn and determined but she s also very loyal to those she loves She has issues with her parents after they were forced to forget about their magical fae children including her This colours her perspective on love marriage and having children with humans which in turn means it takes her a while before she can fully let herself love Finn and be with himFinn has all the neccessary The Year of Living Biblically ualities for a rake charming and handsome Not widely known is that he also does some detective work which added another layer to his character He s very sweet and protective with ClaireThe chemistry between Claire and Finn was sizzling and they had some steamy love scenes together The love between them buildsp gradually and they have plenty of obstacles and issues to work through before they get their deserved HEAThe intrigue involving the killer definitely helped to keep the book s pace and hooked my interest as well I thought the faerie elements were woven through the book very well and it all seemed to blend with the historical setting perfectlyThis is the second book in the Faerie series the first being the story of Sophia Claire s sister and Robin Finn s brother but you re never lost and the back story was worked in throughout the bookOverall this is a fun and sweet romance with a hint of danger to keep the reader intrigued Definitely recommendedI received a review copy from the publisher via NetGalley for my honest review Thank you Overall I felt the lust between this couple than a deep love at first glance forever kind of love folks Heck they both seem to resent even that attraction between themselves for some time With his well earned manho history and the heroine insisting on helping his former mistress when she found herself in trouble I just didn t enjoy this book as much as the first It didn t have the sweet genuine connection the main couple in the first book had Likely because I felt this couple kept having smex but didn t know each other all that well 18 readers onlyThese comments are based on a Kindle Unlimited version This is not a detailed ARC review I was not compensated in any form for these comments I started reading and then I realized that this book is actually the second of a series The first chapter I was a little bit lost but after that it wasn t a problem at all This is such a fast paced cute romance that is a perfect mixture of the paranormal fairies and historical genres Lord Phineas Finn has been put in charge of taking care of Claire Thorne while *his brother and her sister are away visiting the land of fea *brother and her sister are away visiting the land of fea is pset about finding out her parents and her sister marrying a human Now she finds herself in the company of a handsome human who she cannot have feelings for because she is a faerie Unfortunately it doesn t matter how much you remind yourself or him not to fall in love I did love the pace of this plot and the character had some really lines that made me smile Unfortunately I do believe this is not a stand alone novel and to really enjoy it please read the first book After I found out who the author was I was not surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this Ms Falker is one half of the writing team known as Lydia Dare and they write some of the best historicalparanormal romances out there today I am happy to say I now own the first book in this series and I can t wait to read it and the next book that is coming out next year Review courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy THE MAGIC OF I DO is a lively paranormal historical romance that felt light And Airy Not Unlike The airy not nlike the that transport the faeries between the real world and the faerie wold I got caught p in the whirlwind comforted by the fact that the whirlwind comforted by the fact that MAGIC OF I DO doesn t break any romance novel molds and I was able to enjoy the faeries the relationship and the cute funny moments as a resultClaire is one of the most stubborn romance novel heroines I have ever encountered She is angry and frustrated about the situation she s put in and that ends p translating into an inability to acknowledge her feelings for Finn For the Love of All Thats Holy, Dont Buy a Boat When Venus is in Retrograde until long after he tells her how he feels about her Finn is our typical romance hero the type who sleeps with so many ladies then encounters the one and isn t satisfied with anybody else afterwards A little predictable but still fun It s always amusing to follow these heroes as they confront feelings they have never felt for a woman before Especially because in this case it wasn t the man ho. Desperately Seeking Excitement With a temporary prohibition on magic on the land of the Fae Claire Thorne might as well go back to the Regency world The haut ton has just as many annoying rules as her world but at least they have parties and dances Plus the roguish Lord Phineas Finn Trimble is there When the feisty faerie tumbles into.
